by Tyler GibbonsPocatello, Idaho – The Transit Tech relay team from Brooklyn , New York , ran away from the rest of the 4 x 800 field and claimed Simplot Games gold, beating their closest competitor by 16 seconds, with a time of 8:00.48.
Team members for the Empire State-based club included juniors Julian Wood and Fard Rollock, and seniors Elijah Rollock and Kameron George.
“We came out and made a statement that New York was in the building,” stated Woods.
