Iesha Hardiman, a sophomore from Santa Clara, California, claimed the gold medal in the girls 400-meter dash with time of 55.88 seconds.
Hardiman took lessons from last year’s fourth place finish and applied them in her 2010 strategy.
“I learned from last year when I ran scared in the six (far outside) lane,” Hardiman said. “This time around I just left everything out on the track and fortunately it went my way.”
Iesah Hardiman wins the girls' 400-meter dash at Simplot Games.
