Fuqauwn Greene, a senior, from New Bern, North Carolina, set a new 200 meters Simplot Games meet record with a time of 21.41.

It was no doubt one of the most crowd-pleasing races of the day. The fans roared in amazement after Greene came across the finish line holding the new meet record. However, it was no surprise to Green.

“It’s all the same, I’ve been breaking records all year,” said Greene. “It’s no surprise, but I’m still proud.”

Green was also part of the Track E.C. team that set new Simplot Games meet records in both the 4x200 and 1600 sprint medley relays in last year’s Games.

Over halfway through the Saturday finals of the 2010 Simplot Games, it was the first meet record the fans have had the pleasure of seeing today.

In second place was Robert Woods from Gardena, Calif., with a time of 21.94. Third was John Thomas from Brooklyn, New York, with a time of 22.03.
