Jessica Wilding, a senior from Kaysville, Utah, representing the Davis Track Club, won the girl’s 1600 meters at the 32nd annual Simplot Games. She won with a time of 5:09.97.
“I’m excited about it, it’s good to end with a win,” said Wilding.
This is Wilding’s third time being at the Simplot Games, and it’s her first gold.
She will be continuing her track career at Utah Valley University.
“I love the Simplot Games! To watch everyone run and to see how fast they are is awesome,” said Wilding.
